Provincial Dollars Provide Crocus Plains with Equipment and Sustainability

The Crocus Plains Regional Secondary School is celebrating the new technology coming to their collision repair program.

The provincial government announced they would be investing $347,453 to the program in the form of a new paint booth.

Carl Decosse is a teacher in the program and tells CKLQ it's a critical piece of equipment.

"What it means ultimately is sustainability for the program. The equipment we are currently using is 30 years old and if it went down I don't know if we'd still be here."

Michael Wenham is a student in the program and added, "We pride ourselves on having the newest technologies and it's an amazing learning curve for us to have the latest equipment."

The province announced $1.5-Million in funding to various schools across Manitoba yesterday.
