Feds Hand Out Funding to 8 Westman Communities

The federal government is dishing out $37.3-Million to a number of water infrastructure projects in Manitoba.

Of the 24 announced projects, 8 of them are in Westman communities.

The biggest benefactor is the RM of Prairieview with $2-Million going towards new the new municipal well and piping network.

In Brandon the city is receiving just over $ 1.6-Million for the planning and design stage of the water treatment plant upgrade.

The federal funding covers half the cost of the project with the province and municipalities providing equal 25% shares.
