Premier Ready to Invest on Infrastructure Spend

Premier Brian Pallister is ready to start investing in roads and bridges.

During a stop in Brandon Thursday, Pallister said criteria will soon be released for the strategic infrastructure plan presented in the budget earlier this month.

Pallister tells CKLQ it's matter of getting a return on the taxpayers investment.

"Means that we're going to be investing in projects where people can use the project to help make money. For example where you have oil and gas located in Southwestern Manitoba."

The Premier added Westman has a "very active number of communities that invest in vale added operations such as agriculture and manufacturing that need trucking."

The fiscal plan called for $1.76-Billion in infrastructure spending.
