3000 Students to Attend Bobcats Games

The Healthy Living Centre will be rocking this weekend.

3000 students from 40 Westman schools will be taking in the Bobcats volleyball and basketball teams on Thursday and Friday.

Matt Powell with the men's volleyball team tells CKLQ he's never played in front a crowd that big.

"I can just go off from what I saw last year and women's nationals. Obviously lots of screaming kids, trying to fee off their excitement at the games."

The Bobcats volleyball teams open the weekend at noon Thursday against the University of Regina.

On Friday the basketball teams get their chance to play in front of the big crowd as they host MacEwan at 12:00.

Stephanie Hunter says it'll be a big motivator for squad, "pretty exciting to have a crowd like that, Hopefully we can feed off the energy in the gym."
